Overview
Moshi is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your terminal sessions, SSH keys, and credentials stay on your device. We don't have access to your servers or what you do on them.
Data We Collect
Data stored on your device only
- SSH connection details (host, port, username)
- SSH private keys (stored in iOS Keychain)
- Terminal session data and screenshots
- App preferences and settings
- Voice dictation models (downloaded on-device)
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
Data we may collect
- Push notification tokens: If you enable notifications, we store your device token to send alerts when your tasks complete.
- Crash reports: Anonymous crash data to help us fix bugs (can be disabled in iOS settings).
- Basic analytics: Anonymous usage statistics like app opens and feature usage (no personal data).
Voice Dictation
Voice dictation uses OpenAI's Whisper model running entirely on your device. Your voice recordings are processed locally and are never sent to any server. The audio is discarded immediately after transcription.
Webhook Notifications
When you set up webhook notifications, we generate a unique token for your device. This token is used to route notifications to you. We don't store the content of your notifications beyond what's needed to deliver them.
Third-Party Services
- Apple Push Notification Service: For delivering push notifications
- TestFlight: For beta distribution (Apple's service)
Data Security
- SSH keys are stored in iOS Keychain with biometric protection
- All network connections use encryption (SSH/Mosh protocols)
- No passwords or keys are ever transmitted to our servers
Your Rights
You can:
- Delete all app data by uninstalling the app
- Disable crash reporting in iOS Settings
- Disable push notifications at any time
- Request deletion of any server-side data by contacting us
